Modular HDMI to NDI Conversion
The Magewell Pro Convert HDMI Plus Module is a hot-swappable encoder module for converting HDMI video into high-bandwidth NDI streams. It is designed for installation in a Magewell Modator 2U chassis and includes an HDMI loop-through output.
Supporting HDMI input and loop-through signals up to 4096×2160, the module can encode NDI output at resolutions up to 2048×2160 and 120fps. It is suited to production environments that need to integrate HDMI sources with NDI-based video workflows.
HDMI Input and Loop-Through
The module accepts HDMI video and provides a loop-through output, allowing the connected source to feed a display or other equipment while also being encoded for network use.
Input EDID can be customised to accommodate different video formats. The module supports up to eight channels of embedded HDMI audio.
High-Bandwidth NDI Encoding
Pro Convert HDMI Plus Module encodes real-time NDI High Bandwidth streams at resolutions up to 2048×2160 and frame rates up to 120fps. The output can match the input resolution or be set to a custom resolution.
Output frame rate can match the original signal or be set to one-half, one-third or one-quarter of the input frame rate. Eight-channel embedded audio is also carried in the NDI stream.
Management and Integration
The module can be configured and managed through its web interface, the Modator chassis touchscreen or Magewell Control Hub for remote centralised management.
A Gigabit Ethernet port carries the NDI stream, while the USB Type-C port supports configuration. The module also provides HTTP APIs for integration.
