Pro Convert is a family of standalone hardware converters that move video between traditional HDMI signals and IP-based NDI media networks. They let you send video over a standard network instead of running long cables, which is ideal for AV-over-IP installations, broadcast and livestreaming.

What's the difference between the two Pro Convert models available?

The Pro Convert HDMI TX is an encoder. It converts an HDMI input signal into Full NDI to send across the network. The Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI is a decoder, it takes an NDI stream from the network and outputs it as an HDMI signal for a display or switcher.

Do I need a computer to run Pro Convert devices?

No. Each Pro Convert unit is a dedicated standalone appliance with no PC or capture software required. Setup is plug-and-play with automatic input format detection and DHCP network configuration.

Can Pro Convert handle 4K displays?

The Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI decodes Full NDI and NDI|HX (including earlier variants) to HD HDMI, and can up-convert the decoded HD signal to 4K for viewing on Ultra HD displays. The Pro Convert HDMI TX supports input signals up to 2048x1200 at 60fps.

Which NDI formats do these devices support?
