Compact SDI Capture for Embedded Systems
The Magewell Pro Capture Mini SDI (no heat sink) is a single-channel HD capture card for bringing SDI video and embedded audio into a computer. Its Mini PCIe form factor is designed for compact systems where space is limited.
With an MMCX SDI input and loop-through interface, the card supports SD, HD, 3G and 2K signals. It provides onboard video processing and is suitable for integration in broadcast, industrial and other embedded applications.
SDI Capture and Loop-Through
The card captures a single SDI input and provides an SDI loop-through connection, allowing the signal to be passed on to other equipment. Its MMCX connectors support compact installation, with an MMCX-to-SDI breakout listed separately by Magewell.
Support for SD, HD, 3G and 2K SDI includes input resolutions up to 2048 × 1080 pixels and embedded audio carried in the SDI signal.
Onboard Video Processing
Video processing features include deinterlacing, cropping, colour adjustment, colour-space conversion, up/down conversion and aspect-ratio conversion. Automatic input-format detection, hardware timestamping, timecode and closed-caption support are also provided.
The card supports multiple capture streams and a low-latency mode, helping it integrate into a range of computer-based capture workflows.
Compact System Integration
The 30 × 51 mm Mini PCIe card is designed for compact computer systems. This no-heat-sink variant is intended for installations requiring the card without a heat sink.
Windows, Linux and macOS support, SDK availability and continuous 24-hour, 7-day operation make the card suitable for integration into dedicated systems.
